Our zip-up hoodies are built around different weights, textures and finishes rather than one blank repeated in new colours. The range moves from 570 GSM heavy cotton to lighter loopback fabric, heavyweight waffle and distressed College cuts. Embroidered STA marks keep some pieces clean, while puff print, screen print and worn detailing give others more surface.
Black, navy and OG grey keep the palette grounded. Pale yellow and baby pink bring the colour higher up the outfit. Some zips work best as the main layer. Others leave more room for a tee or jacket around them.

HEAVYWEIGHT ZIP UP HOODIES
The Navy Line STA Zip Up Hood sits at the dense end of the range. It uses 570 GSM, 100% heavy cotton with a double-lined hood and low pile velvet lining. A YKK zipper closes the front, and the Line STA graphic is finished in puff print.
GSM measures fabric weight in grams per square metre. At 570 GSM, the Navy Line STA carries far more body than a lighter loopback zip. You feel that through the hood and torso before the graphic even enters the picture.
A heavyweight zip makes sense when you want the hood to lead the upper half. Leave it partly open over a tee, close it when the temperature drops, or wear it as the outer layer when another jacket would add too much bulk.
LIGHTWEIGHT LOOPBACK ZIP UPS
The STA side of the range gives you another way to wear a full zip. Pale Yellow STA and Baby Pink STA use 100% cotton loopback fabric with embroidered STA logos and YKK zips. Navy STA sits beside them on the grid.
Loopback fabric leaves visible loops on the inside rather than the low-pile velvet found in the heavier Line STA. It gives you a lighter layer with less bulk through the body.
That difference matters when you want the zip open over a tee, under outerwear, or on through milder weather. The embroidered STA keeps the front cleaner too, so the fabric and colour can carry more of the look.
WAFFLE ZIP UP HOODS
Black Waffle Zip Up Hood changes the surface of the range with heavyweight waffle fabric. The texture gives the body its own character before the graphic enters the picture.
A double-ended zip changes how you can wear the front, too. Open it normally from the top, or release it from the hem when you want the hoodie to sit looser around the waist and show more of the layer underneath.
It is another route into a heavyweight zip without repeating the smooth heavy cotton construction of Line STA.
DISTRESSED COLLEGE ZIP UPS
OG Grey Distressed College Zip Up and Black Distressed College Zip Up move away from the cleaner STA finish.
On the Black Distressed College, the screen-printed logo is deliberately broken up and the worn detailing continues along the zip line and outer edges. The fabric is 100% heavy cotton, yet the hood itself is built as a lightweight piece. That gives it a different balance from the 570 GSM Line STA.
The distressing continues past the chest graphic and follows the construction lines of the hood. The zip and edges become part of the finish rather than sitting outside it.
Go College when you want the garment to look less clean and more worked in from the start.
EMBROIDERY, PUFF PRINT AND SCREEN PRINT
Weight changes how a hoodie feels. The graphic finish changes how it reads.
The STA loopback zips use embroidery, keeping the logo compact and stitched into the surface. Navy Line STA takes a heavier graphic route with puff print, adding height against the cotton. Black Waffle uses screen print over a textured fabric, while Black Distressed College breaks the printed artwork down and carries the worn treatment into the edges.
Those finishes give you a better way to choose than colour alone. Embroidery keeps things quieter. Puff print brings more depth. Waffle fabric adds texture before the logo does anything. Distressing makes the finish part of the whole garment.
Seven zips can sit on one grid without looking like seven versions of the same hoodie.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR ZIP
Start with what you want the hood to do.
If it needs to carry the top half by itself, go towards Line STA or Waffle. If you want something easier to leave open over a tee or put beneath another layer, the loopback STA zips make more sense.
Then choose the finish. Embroidered STA keeps the front cleaner. Line STA adds depth through puff print. Distressed College brings the worn treatment into the graphic and edges. Waffle puts more attention on the fabric texture itself.
Colour comes last. Black and navy are easier to build around. OG grey keeps things neutral, while pale yellow and baby pink put more colour into the upper half.
Pick by how you will wear it, not by which spec has the biggest number.
HOW TO WEAR OUR ZIP-UP HOODIES
OPEN OVER A TEE
A full zip gives the layer underneath room to stay visible. Wear a lighter STA hood open over one of our tees when you want both pieces in the outfit rather than covering the graphic completely.
If the zip already has a louder finish, keep the layer underneath quieter. Distressed College and Waffle have enough going on through the surface, so another large graphic can make the top half too busy. An embroidered STA gives you more room to bring a stronger tee into the mix.
PUT THE WEIGHT OVER DENIM
Heavier zips work better when the lower half has enough shape underneath them. Pair Line STA or Black Waffle with Drama Call denim and keep the leg relaxed.
Baggy and wide cuts hold their own below a substantial hood. A regular denim fit pulls the silhouette in if you want the zip to carry more of the volume.
Raw indigo and light blue wash give you easy bases without fighting the upper half. Green wash takes the colour further when you want more happening below the zip.
KEEP THE SET CLOSER

Black, navy and grey make it easy to keep the outfit controlled from top to bottom. Pale yellow and baby pink do more work by themselves, so the lower half can stay darker or more neutral.
Matching every colour exactly is unnecessary. Keep the proportions and fabric weight connected, then decide how much contrast you want between the top and bottom.
WASHING AND AFTERCARE
Check the care label on your hood before washing it. Line STA, Pale Yellow STA, Baby Pink STA and Black Distressed College can be cold washed or dry cleaned. The range includes heavy cotton, loopback fabric, embroidery, puff print, and distressed screen print. Those finishes do not all need to be treated like the same sweatshirt.
Keep the zip and graphic in mind when you wash. Follow the care instructions for the hood you own rather than using one routine across every piece in the wardrobe.
